Have owned the T4i since it was new. Original batteries started going bad a couple years ago so bought a pair of replacements (Powerextra brand….could not find the original Canon brand). Have started using the camera again so a couple weeks ago charged up one of the batteries, installed it in the camera, took a couple of photos and turned the camera off. Went to use the camera again today and the battery was dead. Now to my question….is this normal life of the replacement type/brand of battery I am using now? Seems like the original Canon brand batteries held a charge longer or is there an issue with my T4i?
    Thanks

You likely have battery issues, 3rd party batteries are very unreliable. Try draining and charging multiple rounds to see if you can get stability in the battery, it should not die in a few shots, this sounds like the charger is thinking its at 100% when its at 10%. How long are you charging? You may have to search for other batteries in the end.
