I have a Canon 1DXII and I have tried to update my firmware from 1.1.3 to the latest version 1.1.8 and it froze at 85%. I then removed the battery and tried to update to 1.1.6 and did the same thing. I finally tried updating to 1.1.3 to keep the same firmware and its stuck again. PLEASE HELP

Are you using the CF card process of placing it on the card and updating that way? They should be done from a formatted card and on a full battery but can be a bit finicky when updating a huge jump. Is it possible that its still updating but the progress bar moved quick to 85% then stopped..?? These updates can take some time

What do you mean you tried 1.1.3 to keep it the same? You do not need to re-install firmware of the same level
and I would caution highly against installing a lower firmware if the 1.1.6 showed installed.

Lastly have you tried using the EOS utility to update firmware? I have had less issues with that process.
