I am currently running EOS Utility on my I Pad along side my 70D. I now wish to move this system over to my computer which is running on Windows 10. I have downloaded the EOS Utilities package, and have attempted to connect by wifi to the camera, but it is not finding it. I have gone to the WiFi menu on the camera to set the location to connect to ( little pc icon, top right) but noe asks lots of questions. Should I be using the icon in the bottom right hand corner, which just shows a screen? Any assistance to curb my frustration would be much appreciated.
Hello and welcome to the forum. To curb your frustration, have you tried using a cable instead of wifi? Gary
My advice would be to take the card out of the camera and use a USB card reader. That method has worked for me for 13 years.
Many thanks for the input. I possibly didn’t make myself clear. I want to be able to live view the images as I take them. This I’m doing at the moment, but on my iPad, which isn’t ideal, due to image size. I want to do the same thing on my PC.
Wonderful, I’m now up and running on WiFi, so many thanks for all the help. To be honest, I’m not all that impressed with the WiFi solution, so am considering a tethering cable. Can you advise the cable required. More about the specification of the connector going into the 70D body. Can anyone advise please.
