YO !! Now I have my Free Gift EOS 40D fully working again I tried it today with my SMC Macro-Takumar 50mm f4 ASAHI PENTAX lens using a Canon EOS to M42 Adaptor kindly given by a Fellow Camera Club and 'Canon expert' member . I set 125 ISO, RAW files, Auto White Balance, a 2 second delay ,AV Exposure Mode . I processed the RAW file in FastStone Image Viewer -- just had to darken it a bit and add some Unsharp mask and a Border.
