I had some issues with the Canon EOS Utility to connect to my EOS 600D on a Mac Pro M1. So was looking for solutions to still have at least live view and remote shooting possibilities (since that is most of what I needed). White balance and remote focus would be nice as well; but I can put them in later. I found that gphoto2 works with my old Canon EOS 600D, so build a simple front end for it [https://github.com/lemio/OpenCameraMonitor]. My question to you is; does this also work with your device and if so, could you share me the devices that it works with and doesn't work with. Also very cool and relevant to check out is this [https://web-gphoto2.rreverser.com/] which does allow you to connect the your canon EOS directly via the browser.
