.... here in the UK. Almost all field crops have been harvested, most fields have been ploughed and some even have a tinge of green showing from recent sowings. Most trees have sad looking leaves - the droop they take on just before turning brown - and this acorn will soon be cast adrift to take it's chances in natures great scheme of things.
