Landscapes Bamburgh Castle

    A modern mono edit of an old Canon 5D image, initially rejected because of the flat, frontal lighting and a foreground of bright yellow plants.

    EDIT. Corrected text to read bright yellow plants. My original text read 'oil seed rape flowers' - but in April that could not be so - fading memory :eek:, but it was a long time ago. :)

    I visited the UK from Virginia USA with my wife and her parents in 2012. Two weeks in a car driving on the opposite side of the road in an unfamiliar land - I found it to be a character-building experience :D
    This was my best shot of Bamburgh Castle

    I can only imagine 'storming the castle' having to cross the open land only to face a castle with that formidable cliff
