I sold someone someone an old EF 38-76mm zoom; now he's saying that autofocus isn't working. But it turns out that he isn't using it on a Canon body, he's using it on a Sony A7 with a Meta-Bones adapter. To complicate things even more, I'm in Britain and he's in Spain so I can't easily visit him and track down the cause of the problem. I made the usual suggestions about cleaning the contacts and auto/manual switch etc, I'm still waiting to hear back from him if anything worked.

Does anyone have any experience of this adapter? If so, what is your experience with older lenses?

    Thanks!
