Hello everyone; I am writing to ask if anyone can help me use EOS Utility to transfer photos from the camera to the PC. Until now I had no problem, since before I connected EOS Utility via a USB cable, and it automatically recognized the camera card and downloaded the photos. For about a month now, it hasn't allowed me to use the previous system. I downloaded the latest EOS Utility software from the Canon website, but I can't transfer the photos. The problem worsened when I mounted the quick-release cage on the camera. Since it's secured with screws, I have to disassemble the cage and remove the card because it doesn't recognize the connection between my computer and my camera. Doing this means losing all the benefits of automatically downloading photos to the PC.Then I have to remount it. Has anyone encountered this problem or knows how to fix it? Or how to configure Wi-Fi on a Canon Rebel EOS 2000D? I am sending you the photographs of the consultation, using this link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/w6eq...ey=8n439rfzefcqmu7yroo2vh0j6&st=haacrb6f&dl=0 Thank you very much.
MY guess, your usb cord or usb port (pc or camera side) is going bad. I would try a new port and a different usb cord. Without going into a long post about setup, based on the 2000d doc it seems wireless is meant to send to phone printer or wireless connect station. On the higher end dslrs, they became a hotspot, then you connected to the camera with your laptops wifi and the transfer utility would access the camera. seems that is not possible for the 2000d. Personally I use CF and SD card readers and don't bother with the transfer utility, the risk there is you could wear down the brass on the card or internal connection with heavy heavy use. (or bend a pin with a cf card, but i been very careful over the last 20+ years and never had issues)
Using this one for windows 11 i assume? Again the intermittent problem implies a port issue. EOS Utility 3.18.40 for Windows File version : 3.18.40.9 Release date : 28 January 2025
