Title. I'm trying to upload images from my Canon R5 straight to an FTP server, but it gets stuck on "transferring" all the time. I looked at the folder in the FTP server, and a file with the image's name and extension is indeed being created, but it's zero bytes and is an empty file (this while the camera keeps showing "transferring"). The camera definitely connected to the FTP server, as a file is being created. (Plus, it also said "Connected to FTP server"). The FTP user I logged into has write and read access to the folder. The Wifi I connected the camera to is also really fast, so it can't be this. I've tried uploading an image file to the FTP server from my MacBook, and it uploaded instantly. I went to the camera's settings, clicked on "Wifi/Bluetooth connection", and it shows the link speed being over 400mbps and that it's attempting to upload a file. Not sure what solutions to try. I've looked up this error online, and it seems like I'm the only one who's ever reported such thing. I tried using both the FTP's IP address and the domain (ftp.domain.com)
Have you tried the passive mode? Sometimes, Canon cameras are set by default to Active FTP, but some servers require Passive Mode. Go to Menu > Network Settings > FTP Transfer Settings Look for Passive Mode (PASV) and enable it.
