My current setup is a Canon T6i, and im sending the image to my PC through a HDMI and a capture card to be recorded using OBS. I tried all the best setting I could find, but the video quality is visibly inferior to the one I can get with the camera alone.
Here's a comparison of a frame from OBS and a frame from the camera's card. Same angle, same light, same everything: https://imgur.com/a/YkXQOlB

Is there anyway I can use this DSLR to stream my podcast in good quality?

Canon provides a free software called Canon EOS Webcam Utility that allows you to directly use the T6i as a webcam without an HDMI capture card. The quality might be better than a cheap capture card, though it’s still limited to 720p.
Although if you want to stick with HDMI, use a high-quality capture card, like Elgato or AverMedia. Tweak OBS settings for better encoding.
