Ive been kinda struggling to come up with new ideas for a while. And with how busy I been this year remembering to log in on the first of the month has been very spotty.

Anyone can take and copy paste the formatting and post a monthly challenge, you guys surely don't need me to post it each month, if i'm not coming up with any good ideas i am not adding value anymore being the one making the post.

Johnsey, sounds like you are due for the Christmas hollidays, how about reflections for this months challenge in glass, mirror , water, etc. unless we have other suggestions. Oh and one more , what lives in a tree, animals birds or insects, etc.

could you give permission to someone like craig to post it each month like you used to do, it does make a difference seeing each month in a new thread / topic rather than an add on to the last month
topic wise we can think of stuff between ourselves pretty easy

i've also not been on very much or out photoerising due to medical problems or i would offer myself up............Leave it!!

"what lives in a tree" is a fantastic idea for a subject, also but different "what lives in a hole" for a different month in the year, maybe spring when stuff is emerging

No special permissions are needed to post a new thread, are you guys saying that the post thread button is missing in https://www.canonforums.com/forums/official-photo-contests-and-events.53/ ???

But yes Craig, yourself or any other regular with a good should definitely jump in on the 1st of the month and create a new thread for a monthly photo challenge. If Phil has the section locked we will have to look at that before next month.

It's December and time for a new Monthly challenge, if no one has any objections the theme will be :
" What Lives In A Tree"
    Birds, bugs, insects and animals.

Johnsey, I looked at the site and the only Post New Thread I can see is in Photosharing , but I may have missed something as my knowledge of using the software is limited.

no the blue 'post new thread box" is missing on this section
at the bottom of the page it says "(You have insufficient privileges to post here.)"
sounds lioke you could privy individuals,

it would be good to limit it to a few people so the run of monthly threads doesn't get interrupted but random posts, i'd be happy to be one of the new thread posters, with agreement from others of coarse,

I think this is a good idea as it will give Johnsey more time to conduct his own business, with out the authority to put up the thread, no one seems to participate.

So I touched base with Phil, and gave Caladina and Craig Sherriff as names to provide post access. He said its doable, if we want to add anyone else it should not be an issue either.

No problems, if it is not there when you look put it up. The sooner we get it up and running the better.
