This is a weird one which I just can't seem to fix. I haven't had much joy asking about it on a Nikon forum, so I thought I'd try here too. Not urgent, just annoying.

For the last 20 or so years I've used Nikon's photo archiving software on my PCs because it's free, works reasonably well and seemed to be compatible with a lot of different cameras - I currently own eight digital cameras of different brands/types and I've tested dozens more on it over the years.

Last year I switched to a new Windows 11 PC. I copied my photos to the new drive, installed the software, and almost everything seemed OK. Every camera was fine - except for my Eos 600D. When I connect it (using the same cable etc. as before, which works well on two other DSLRs) Nikon File Transfer (which as far as I know hasn't changed) shows no pictures. If I take the memory card out and put it into a card reader it's fine, no problems whatever. I haven't yet had a chance to try any other Canon cameras. The format I use is high resolution high quality JPG, no RAW.

So - does anyone else here use this software with Canon cameras and Windows 11. If so, does it work straight to the camera, or do you have to use a card reader?
