TL;DR: Is there a way to disable movie servo AF when not recording, while using video mode on R6II and R7? So this has been a big frustration on my part. I shoot mainly motorsport, and last year I decided to switch to R7 and R6 II (previously was on 7D II). In the middle of the season, I was pressed to start recording and began my "video experience" alongside stills. All is fine and good, EXCEPT that the movie servo AF is always active, even when I'm not recording. I start and stop recording between vehicles passing, to easily split the clips on export and for easier organization, and also to save batery + card. If, by accident or just to look at what I recorded, I point the camera at my feet/ground, or to a very very far away place, the lens will focus on that spot, and soon after if a vehicle comes again, it will take ages to focus again on the right spot (specially at very long focal lengths). I use a RF100-500, and if I'm past 300mm, I'll usually have to zoom back to 100mm, refocus, and be ready for the next car/bike (because the preivous one is already way gone...) (ALSO, does anyone know why refocusing at high focal lengths is very hard, opposed to small focal lengths?? curiosity on the technical details here). Is there some way to stop the servo AF as soon as I stop recording? I've been around this topic for ages, and can't find the solution, and as you can see by my profile, I'm not so much a "reddit poster guy". Thank you very much all for the help.
