Hi, ive registered on this form and hoping to find an answer for a question that bothered me for quite some time.
When I turn on the camera in Portrait mode the initial setting for drive mode would be "Low Speed Continuous" is there a way i can change this INITIAL setting to single shot and that Camera would remember it? That way when i turn on camera it would be a single shooting from the get go?
EDIT: Just like it says in the title my camera is: Canon EOS Rebel T7i

let me look at the book and see what it says, the rebels are more automatic but I would hope this option exists.

Honestly responding to this got lost in the holiday shuffle, settings should save on the camera when they are changed. I would need to look at the book again to understand the limits of the rebel in changing the settings. The rebel series of cameras remove most decision making buy the user being they are considered a beginner camera.
It may be that the portrait mode it automatically resets to to continuous drive upon startup or mode switching, among several other settings that would make sense in a portrait situation. I will try to dig into the manual and see what it says later today.
